An exhibition at Lunds Konsthall exploring the history and role of playgrounds and play sculptures in society. The project encompassed every aspect, from concept development to the creation of original works for the exhibition, as well as templates for exhibition texts. It also included the design of posters, a facade banner, and large-format panels.
The design is based on a distinctive headline typeface, Periferia, which is used in the exhibition title. Elements from this typeface are incorporated as graphic elements throughout the rest of the exhibition.
With its straight, uniform lines and geometric shapes, Periferia shares a kinship with the forms found in several works in the exhibition and is reminiscent of classic climbing frames.
We also created an A3 poster with a fold-out design inspiredby the play sculpture “Octetra” by Isamu Noguchi, which was featured in the exhibition. The poster was used as educational material for preschool classes and was given out as a souvenir to visitors.
